so i got a job at a restaurant as a food runner and during the interview and onboarding i was told that that pay rate was 13.50. i signed my contract as 13.50. after a couple weeks i was noticing i was only getting 12.50. i asked my boss and was told that the system maxed out at 12.50 and he should never have offered me that. i backed down too easily because i’m scared of confrontation but is this legal?? like how can they get away with offering me one thing and giving me a dollar less.
