So I work Tuesday through Saturday and my company has a bullshit policy where if a holiday falls on a Sunday the entire company will get holiday pay, even though we are closed that day, however if it falls on a Monday I won’t get paid since it’s my day off. Did I mention I am the only hourly employee who never works Mondays? Almost half the holidays my company pays for fall on Mondays every year. This shit makes me so mad I actually lose sleep over it. Especially knowing the people making these policies aren’t the victims of it.
My question is this: how do I convince them to change this short of finding a new job? I am going to ask to change the schedule because I’m fed up (been on this schedule for two years) but I have a feeling nobody will switch with me because of how bullshit this is. Especially since next year Christmas and New Years are on Monday.
