Workers cheated out of overtime

Our boss has our pay period set as Mon-Sun, our payroll states that the law says a work week is Sun-Sat. I see no such thing when I look up labor laws but because of this “loophole” the last Sunday of the pay period is technically considered a 3rd week with only one day worked. Which makes no sense to me, how can it be included on this pay period then?… because of this that final Sunday doesn't count into the 2nd week hours. We (coworkers and myself) all worked 90+ hours the last two weeks to only get 1 hour of overtime. I would rather have the day off than make standard pay. What a rip off.
