Antiwork

Working in finance, I noticed an epidemic of people pretending to work. Would you rather fake it or take a more stimulating job?

As I get older, I'm astonished by the number of people getting paid to do absolutely nothing. I've experienced it myself, but as I talk to people, I find more and more who just seem to be wasting time. It's crazy. There are certain Reddit blogs that have people complaining about 120k a year jobs in which they do ten hours of work a week or less. Meanwhile, people can't give their kids good food. I'm a freelancer now, so everything I do gets me money, but it's hard to “make it.” What would you rather- waste time and pretend to work for a comfortable salary? or do something intelligent for relatively low pay? Nevermind UBI Edit: and by stimulating, I mean potentially more fulfilling
