I've got COVID, and I'm in the office anyway. I isolated for the required five days, and it's been 24 hours since I've had a fever – I'm clear to work per CDC guidelines.
I don't want to be here. My boss doesn't want me to be here. I can't work from home, because they don't have équipement to provide me to work from home.
I need to pay rent, though. My landlord is the only one who wants me to work with COVID. There's no programs to help pay rent while I'm out for COVID, so I need to be back as soon as the CDC lets me (today).
The US really is something, isn't it?
