workman’s comp advice!

I got injured last Friday and I was told by a PA on Saturday to go forward with workmans comp because my injuries appeared work related. She did not give me any forms because that walk-in doesn't handle workman's comp claims. I took off work because I don't want my injuries to become worse or permanent, so I'm without work. I feel like this has purposely been dragged along. I was very prompt, but HR has not been.
