Would you stay at this job? I’m not.

Day 1 of new temp job and less than a minute after I walked in the door I was told by the HR director that I needed to change my clothes. (The job is for an HR admin assistant position.) I was wearing what was considered “business casual” at my last job (the job assignment said Business Casual). Apparently, the dress code is “professional.” I explained that I was displaced from my house and did not have all of my clothes with me. Instead of waiting until my shift was over, she gave me 45 minutes to get different clothes. Suffice to say, I did not feel safe going back to my house because my roommate is toxic and abusive, so I had a meltdown at the nearest store and spent $40 on a new outfit. Suffice to say, I did not feel safe going back to my house because my roommate is toxic and abusive, so I had a meltdown at the nearest store and spent $40 on a new outfit. I now have a grandma shirt that I hate (because I'm plus size and it was the first thing I found that fit me) and some dress pants that I actually like.
Other things, there are no scheduled breaks. You take them, whenever. This is not a good thing for me. Seriously, I will forget to eat (like what happened to me today). I was not informed that this was a front desk position – which is not something I am interested in at all.

When the person training me said that she needed to log the calls coming in, she said she was waiting for the phone log to come in the mail. I asked her why she couldn't just create an ongoing Excel spreadsheet with who they call with a date/time and attach it to Teams. Which, is where they have other documents located.
She said “Well, you can do that. I'm a pen and paper person.”
I am too, but technology is your friend.
So, I'm quitting this job that I just started today. I feel just as exhausted as I did when I was working at my last job and I mostly just watched someone work today. I don't need that in my life. I debated on “giving it time” because it's a temp job. I really don't think this is a right fit for me.
