Written up for “lack of productivity” when I am literally the most productive employee in my zone. (RANT)

Im convinced my manager has something against me. A couple days ago I was written up for “lack of productivity”. I was so confused because I do not stop moving and doing tasks. I work at a big-box retail store and I am always working on displays, completing online orders, helping customers, lugging big boxes around, and answering phone calls. Whenever I’m asked to do something, I do it immediately. When a customer needs help, I drop whatever I’m doing. I think my manager has had it out for me for a while. She gives me shit for the littlest thing like using tape for stock tags, wearing a non uniform shirt under my uniform sweater (that is zipped all the way to the top, only had it undone before i clocked in) not answering my radio within 1 second (she yelled at me over radio so everybody heard, i…

I think my manager has had it out for me for a while. She gives me shit for the littlest thing like using tape for stock tags, wearing a non uniform shirt under my uniform sweater (that is zipped all the way to the top, only had it undone before i clocked in) not answering my radio within 1 second (she yelled at me over radio so everybody heard, i wasn’t given a chance to respond when she did this, even my co-worker was like “damn”) she’s always helps other employees with a smile on her face when they call her over. Instead I get scoffed at and told “I don’t know anything more than you I’m not a professional.” (when she’s literally the manager and is 40 years older than me). I was also written up for clocking in 2 minutes over my scheduled time on a couple occasions, but why wasn’t I talked to first? I’m only considered late if it’s 5 when I get a warning when clocking in… I think she was just looking for more things to get me in trouble for, or is that just me? I also didn’t finish my facing up to standards one night, then the next day i got written up for all this.

The funny part of all this is that my other co-workers do everything I just listed but my manager doesn’t say a word to them. I was in so much trouble for using tape, when I see others using it all the time. I see other employees with visible non-uniform shirts on underneath everyday. They can write down that they didn’t finish their tasks or facing and it’s no big deal to her, she just says get it done the next day or something.

I cant believe I’ve been going the extra mile with cleaning displays that NOBODY else touches (not even her) because they’re so dirty and filled with dead bugs. I put up tags in aisles that aren’t even assigned to me that day just because. I repack items that others leave looking awful. Why do I do all this just to get in shit.

I’ve been thinking about moving or quitting for a while because she’s been picking on me for months. This whole write up thing was the nail in the coffin for me.

I messaged my general manager to ask to move to a different area as soon as possible the night after I was written up. If that doesn’t happen within the next couple days I’m quitting. We are also the zone with the LEAST amount of employees, we are desperate for workers. I wonder why everyone is leaving…

Fuck this place.
