Ngl I've been out of the loop. I've seen articles here and there about increases but I live in Kentucky where housing has honestly been really cheap. I remember less than a month ago I checked and saw $1300 ish to rent a house. I pay $875 currently for a three bedroom duplex. Tonight I figured I'd check again cause I'm bored and curious and it's now $1700+ and apartments that were once $800 are now $1200+. Hell, my last apartment was $600 in 2018 and is now almost $1000. Is there anything being done about this or are people just expected to be homeless?!???
