Where I work, people are quitting left and right for allegedly better paying jobs, and it's getting so bad that now the company has to rehire temp workers to backfill positions that were supposed to go to the full-time staff. Now, instead of paying what the workers need and deserve, their plan is to research the local job market to gather evidence that they can use to try to convince those who want to leave that they aren't actually going to be making more money somewhere else. News flash! If the supply doesn't meet demand, the price needs to be higher. Telling someone they're wrong isn't going to make them feel better. If you're paying people the same money as 1 year ago, they're working at a significant PAY CUT. It's time to show some appreciation for the workers that have stuck with you.
