It has been said many times here, but employers have bred the current negative attitudes towards employers. As a millennial going through the recession of '07/'08, we were reminded daily that we were expendable. There were 100's of people begging for a job, any job, and we were more than happy to get the crumbs we were left. Our homes, cars, credit, social standing, all was held at ransom for the sake of corporate greed.
Well the shoe is on the other foot now. That B.S. of company-employee loyalty doesn't exist, it's a facade for companies to get more out of workers for less. When COVID hit, so many places laid off workers due to expenses, now they can't find enough people to work. Congrats, corporate America, you played yourself, pick yourself up by your boot straps, pay your employees what they're worth, or go out of business.
Power to the workers!
