Since my last post, I'm trying to at least give two weeks' notice before I quit. I've called off two days in a row, because I just can't get there without my paycheck. I told them that I needed it, and they said that it “could take 1-7 business days for the funds to return to the account” so that they could re-issue the check. How am I supposed to fill my tank to get to work? I can't just keep borrowing money from my parents.
I'd quit if I was strong enough, but I'm just waiting for them to fire me at this point. They've been unbelievably rude to blame me for this. I've never worked a job that gave physical checks this late. It's obvious that they're not issuing them, because the FedExed check got here just fine. And I got my first check. What's the likelihood that two would go missing in a row? Neither ever arrived.
