Not my story.
Someone I love (My Person) was asked to cover a shift on Saturday. They went in for the shift and the supervisor on duty (who openly dislikes My Person) told them they weren’t scheduled, and sent them home. Shortly after My Person left work, the supervisor got a text saying that My Person was meant to work that day. Did the supervisor call My Person back into work?? Nope.
So My Person went into work today and was immediately fired for job abandonment on Saturday for taking Leave without Management Approval within their probationary period.
I am so so so furious, My Person loved their job and wanted to be there.
I don’t know the supervisor personally, but from the stories I’ve heard I am of the opinion that the supervisor sabotaged My Persons position.
