You can’t have leave without a doctors note.

So for the last two years I’ve been working from home which is great, but I haven’t really gone anywhere for two years. I’ve put in a lot of overtime and worked hard at helping customers over the phone. Recently life became more complicated and I have a lot going on. So for the last two years I’ve been working from home which is great, but I haven’t really gone anywhere for two years. I’ve put in a lot of overtime and worked hard at helping customers over the phone.

Recently life became more complicated and I have a lot going on. I’m stressed out over everything, and also burnt out when it comes to my job. I figured since haven’t been on vacation for two years I would take time off of work and regenerate.

I told my work I’m not giving 100% at work due to stress and being burnt out with everything happening at work, and I need time off to get better to be effective at work. They responded with, due to business needs you have been denied leave of absence. My supervisor said if I go to a therapist to get a note I may qualify for fmla and they would have to give me time off.

So my employer knowing I’m burnt and not giving it what I could, says their business needs out weight my mental health, unless I force them to with a doctors note. This is why people hate working for corporate America.
