This happened fifteen plus years ago. I had extensive grocery experience store manager and more. I got a call friendly guy said he was in the business made a change please stop in and consider. But please be prepared to start work after the interview should you be hired.
So I go in they make me wait thirty minutes past interview time. As a different person whom I talked to was just railing some employee yelling, cussing and belittling. I’m ready to run but… so I go into office of this lady who had been doing the screaming. Standard interview I find out the job is selling those old school prepaid coupon sheets. For like five or ten bucks you sell door to door coupons to the last place you would ever eat but you had spent money so…..
Well that was the last straw not only did I not want to work for her but hard selling door to door HELL NO!!!
I thank them say it’s not a good fit and no way am I working here I go to leave and she starts yelling at me. We told you that you would be going out and working after the interview you cannot leave you committed. She was still yelling as I beelined out the door.
