Like my headline says. Not that long ago companies would give you a dedicated phone to use for business. These days you are supposed to not only use it for work but for email and slack/teams/etc. Fuck them. Make them pay for it or don't do it. It's your personal property and if they so require it, your company should pay for one and at the very least pitch in.
I've managed to keep all those off my phone for the last 3 years. It helps with boundaries and with stress.
You don't use your personal computer for work right? Unless you are a freelancer, so again. Fuck them. Make them pay you every single thing they want from you, don't give in. Work remote? Ask for money for your home office. It's only fair and they make enough money with your work, if they didn't you wouldn't have the job. You don't owe them anything. Fuck them, it's a job and you aren't their family.
