My last day was Christmas Eve of 2004. They were given two months notice. I was leaving for college. I was expecting my last check to be heavy and get me through till my student loans kicked in.
My check was for my hourly wage only. 5.25 an hour.
My ex coworkers explained that my “boss” had returned all of my sales and re rung them up under her number. She claimed I had entered literally every sale wrong my last two weeks of work.
I regret not knowing my rights. I was so disgusted with a grown woman stealing from a teenager I figured she was going to hell on her own without my help.
Fuck you Michelle. I hope you are still working 80 hour weeks while your unemployed husband cheats on you.
