Just wondering…. had a (yawn) monthly 1-2-1 one with my manager a few weeks ago. During, we were discussing an incoming new system, D365. I was informed my role was likely to change (yeah, I was expecting it to a degree) and perhaps now was a “good time to look for a new role either internally, or externally”. I was a bit blind sided by this, been there 20 years, no performance issues etc does anyone have some advice on what I can say in my next 1-2-1 as I obviously want to address it now I’ve recovered haha I’ve been well aware he thinks I’m some dinosaur as I’ve been in the job 20 years, I’m 50, he’s in his early 30’s and been my manager for 3 years now. It all sucks. I actually quite like the place I work, but I feel VERY insecure now, which is awful. Anyhow. Thanks for any wise, (or not so) words.
