I’m sorry if this is the wrong sub to post this in but I’m not sure where else to ask this question. I’ve been working for a family owned retail store for the past 2 years now and as the title says, I regularly work 10 hour shifts and get zero breaks.
I’m the only person who’s working in the store so I have to find time between customers to eat anything or to use the restroom. Now I’m aware this illegal in the state of Illinois, so my question is how can I the whistle on this illegal practice and whether or not I should? I have no qualms about blowing the whistle on my employers because they break MANY other rules in the liquor business and have done wrong by their employees many times since I’ve worked here.
