100% Travel employee effectively being forced to stay in my work region on my time off.

I’m an 100% travel employee working in the PNW. Work recently changed their policy about using the work issued trucks. All employees are now only allowed to use the trucks before 7pm on work days. Outside of buying a separate vehicle in the region I’m working I don’t see any way to navigate this. It also seems ridiculous to require me to spend 1000s of dollars on a separate vehicle that I would then be required to sell when we leave this region.
