Hi friends, I recently lost my job due to being sick with covid, strep, then the flu, one after another.
It was kind of a blessing in disguise because I found out that my bosses were taking a lot of my commissions anyway. (I was concierge at a hotel)
Before that, I got my real estate liscense (during Covid) and worked under a realtor- except she was always late to pay me, then stopped paying me all together so I have to sue her (She owes me just a few grand, when we did SIX 1 MILLION DOLLAR sales together. Average home in my area sells for 1 million).
My apartment I believe has black mold in it which was making me sick, so i moved in with my bf. I still want to contribute to rent even though he's giving me a break and helping me pay for a bit.
So I decided, fuck it, I'm 30 years old but I'm tired from being an adult and I've always wanted to work in an ice cream shop. I interview, 11 an hour! LOL. My 2 bed 1 bath infested with mold was 3000 a month. (AND I shared it with three girls to save $)
I feel that i can't even afford to work a regular job down here! Anyone feel the same way?
I want to eventually start my own business but I need capital obviously, how do I do this with this ridiculous wage and rent (not to mention food prices) ?
