Help with the job hunt?

I've always felt like there's something I'm missing when it comes to finding jobs – especially since I graduated college (I'm 30 now). I keep applying to things but have very little luck. I feel as though my resume/cover letters have been decent but things still aren't coming through. I wish none of us had to jump through all these hoops just to survive, but such is life in present times. Many of you seem to know how to navigate the system more than me. Is there any chance there's someone in this subreddit with experience or just stronger job-landing skills who might be willing to mentor me a bit? Maybe look over my resume/cover letter, or provide some references? I definitely do feel like my reference game is weak. Any advice helps!

How to deal with ableist coworkers?

I (24F) interned at a major bank on the corporate side for 4 months. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad either. I am diagnosed with ADHD which only became a problem that I needed meds for after the start of the pandemic while I was in college. Anyways, because of my ADHD, I have a really hard time processing information. I take very good and helpful notes, but obviously they can’t train me for every single scenario possible so I end up having to ask questions often. Despite this challenge, I was able to perform well enough to get a job offer which I accepted. Immediately after I started working as a full-time employee, people started treating me differently which was sort of hard to get used to but it’s been 2 months so I’m adjusting. I can’t really describe it but the way they approached me changed; like…

The COST-friendly COmpany that “Cares”

I work for a famous members-only wholesale retail club, which has a successful PR campaign convincing people that it is a “good” corporation to work for, the company that cares. All lies. I’ve had people scream in my face, spewing vulgarities and insulting me, and when I told management they said things like “You need tougher skin”, or “We won’t do anything, because they could create a big PR problem.” They promote a figure showing that employees have “good” wages, yet roughly half of our hourly employees live below poverty level, and our CEO has an annual base-salary of over 8 million dollars per year. Fuck this place

If you won’t lower your standards for a relationship, don’t for a job.

The job I left after 2 weeks, Training was me literally getting pawned off to someone else and yelled at for making mistakes out of nervousness because I didn't take the information that was expected and instinctly tried to transfer it to the party the caller was requesting. The lack of paitence expecting someone to work as if they had 3 years of experience at the job in 3 weeks. I can hear the sheer disdain and disrespect the supervisor had for coworkers, as well her own boss. If that is happening you will not be respected either. I can hear yelling and arguments across the building (small business) and how this sup considers someone an “absolute moron”. Annoyance when needing a day off to handle medical appointments and the expectation of a month's notice. No communication on schedule and expected to know it. No communication on how you would…

What is it with C-Suite being in love with “Watercooler Conversations”?

Literally just heard the CTO of my company, on a call with hundreds of people in our division, justify asking us to come back to the office was so we can “accelerate watercooler conversations.” What the fuck is that? Does the value of our company from forced pleasentries between people whose work has nothing to do with each other? These executives just love talking about making “data-driven decisions” – where's the data to show the value of talking around a fucking watercooler? Spoiler, there probably is none and this is really about suppression and control.

I see nothing good in my future if i work the way you’re “supposed” to, is there any other way to do this?

I don’t have a degree because I’d have to pay for it and i’m not looking to go into debt any time soon. I’m willing to do some courses, get a certificate or something, i’m not against doing work to get where I want to be, but i know that most industries are going to drain my life force out. I don’t want to work for my entire life, I want to have time for me and my family, but, other than being a millionaire, i don’t really see how I can do that. It’s frustrating and discouraging to look at what “the plan” for life is and see nothing even remotely achievable for most people. Idk honestly, is there anything i can do that would give me time but also money? or is work literally just a rat race that never ends?
