So.. Someone I know was recently called back to the office and when asking for a parking pass (this was a thing during the pandemic while the office was empty) she was refused because there are not enough parking spaces for all staff, only management gets a parking pass. She quit the same day stating that management can go to the office and do her job as well. Stay strong, don't take bs from no one. Peace

The story of my summer job
Sooo, some context. I was 19 when this story happened, I'm currently 20. I'm in my first year of studying music and the summer before I started I decides to take on a summer job to save up a bit. This was at a bakery, as a sales assistent. At first, everything was great. They taught me how to manage the cash register ect. Eventually I also was allowed to help decorate treats sometimes, which was fun so I didn't question it. For the first couple weeks that I worked there, I kept asking what my payrate would be, and they kept saying they would get to it.. Great Eventually they told me it was decided by some sort of bakers regulation thing (I got no clue how to translate it, english isn't my first language) They also didn't give me any sort of contract and when my first paycheck…
I found out that the two new hires I am training are earning $2 an hour more than I am. I am agitated but what can I do about it. I've spoken to my manager about it and they say “Sorry, it's not up to me who gets paid what.” I would go to HR but other people have gone to him about their pay and he made an announcement at one meeting saying not to come to him with payroll issues. Talking to the plant manager is hopeless, he thinks I am an incompetent idiot. (PS. I have a memory handicap, I struggle with my memory recall more than others. I would have liked to keep my handicap private but that information got around somehow… so there's that). I want to say F*** everything and stop going to work, but what good does that do other than get me…

like they keep pushing me to have at least 1% of my cashier interactions sell credit cards but jesus christ people don’t want one!!! i can do all the things but unfortunately i cannot “use my looks” or “bat my eyelashes” like management advises, i only signed up to do cashiering bc i like talking to people! and people like talking to me until i have to shove the card down their throats. then i got told i’m doing everything right but i need to call it a reward cardbinstead of a credit card. you know what happens when you do that? people agree then disagree right after once they find out it’s a credit card. god damn it and sometimes managers come up behind me, interrupt my interactions despite them going well and just start badgering the customer about the credit card. they say “never let their no take…
Do Pharmaceutical Unions Exist?
Has anyone heard of a Pharmaceutical Union? Not the pharm tech kind, but for the workers that make the medication and test it? If not, any idea on how to start one? To not identify myself, I won't share where I work at or the state.
