We amazon drivers did something today
I had to delete the video, but basically we refused to load our cars. Everybody has crazy tour, which are impossible to do. 170 stopps and 230 parcels. Everybody. A lot of discussion later with the team leader it was set that we didnt have to finish the whole tour and just bring back what is left over. Which is still something. We are just 15 drivers, but we think we should just stop working at all. The pay is low and the workload gets increased more and more. This is btw in germany and not the USA. Dont think its that much better here.
why do they get petty when we leave?
I posted this elsewhere before, but I figured I'd post it here because you guys will enjoy the FU. So a few years back I had a seasonal job with a craft store named after a guy. I had been told I was going to be hired on permanently, but they gave me some excuse as to why I wasn't able to be hired two days before my seasonal job ended. I was disappointed because I actually enjoyed this job and the discount, but I figured I'd be eligible for rehire so it wasn't too bad. Looking back, I corrected the assistant manager twice (price check on seasonal clearance, backed up by the GM, I was legit right) and then suddenly wasn't going to be permanent so I know why it happened. Golden handcuffs strike again
Today I finally got offered a position at the company I’ve been trying to get into for over 2 years. Endless opportunities for growth, the field I really like, and in an area I really like. Unfortunately I can’t take the job because I won’t have access to benefits until I’m there for 6 months and get into their union. I carry the health insurance for my family so I’m basically chained to my current job. I wish the US would wake tf up and do something resembling universal healthcare no one should be changed to a job because they need insurance.
ALU has a killer left hook!
I am not having a good pregnancy. I’m very weak and fatigued and can’t work as quick as I did before. Which honestly doesn’t affect my job too much Cus we are a very slow store anyway so it’s not like we ever have hoards of customers waiting. We’re lucky if like 3 people come in the store every hour Anyway, I’ve been told due to my “situation” they plan on demoting me from a manager and back to regular staff because I’m “gonna be gone awhile” I’m only in my first trimester. I still have a long way to go until maternity leave. Ever since they found out they’ve been treating me like garbage and looking for things to fault me for or somehow warrant removing me from my position. Like writing me up for leaving 15 minutes early when we hadn’t had a customer in the store for…
