I’m not even joking when I say it should be studied by scientists, and presented to Congress. Because it’s clearly crossing the line into assault and battery, as we see in viral videos. Why do so many people, especially middle aged women, go berserk in stores? Is it menopause, mental illness, entitlement, some social phenomenon that needs to be studied? When did beating people with bike locks, throwing hot soup in faces, and shooting people in the head become normal? Why are so many airline workers getting their bones broken? Why isn’t that enough to demand legislation? Why do people casually talk about getting beaten or robbed or tied up at work? I mean, is it mass Stockholm syndrome? My coworkers had more smoke for me than the maniacs assaulting them. I tried advocating for us to go to the media a decade ago, nobody wanted to hear it. Is…
But thats just a personal conspiracy theory of mine feel free to correct me

Independent contractor?
I work in the industry of coaching as a minor, and we are classified as independent contractors but I feel like this is not true. I am paid an hourly rate. I submit availability of when I am able to work and the company then schedules me. I use the company’s equipment and the company gives us direction on what to cover, etc. when doing the work. Where I am, employees are entitled to being paid twice a month (within 10 days), stat pay, and sick pay. I am offered none of these benefits. We had to sign a contract saying we are independent contractors, yet where I am, that does not automatically qualify us as one. I don’t know what I should do about this. Does anyone have tips? Thank you
Maybe we need an anthem?

I was surprised with tickets to my first ever concert for my favorite band, Metallica, and the concert happened to be on superbowl sunday. Which is basically an-all-hands-on-deck, no one gets the day off. So I didn't show up. And got fired by the new boss. 2 weeks later I had a new job with double the past pay. 2 years later, I was in an awesome job that changed my life. 6 years later I'm back in school at an ivy league. 10 years later I've…
