Month: June 2022
I really liked this job, I was working at a movie theater. Anyways it was about two years ago and my cat had cancer. Work knew that her time was limited and finally I made the decision to put her down because it was apparent she was struggling far to much. I got scheduled the day before and two days after her appointment. When I asked my boss to reschedule me I got told “just schedule her appointment for Monday you have the next few days off after that” as if I should force my poor cat to suffer more over some bullshit job. So I suffered through those shifts because I did really like my job at the time but fucking hell. I have more horror stories from another job too, a job I actually hated. Maybe I'll share those later but it's around two years since this happened…
I was called into my boss' office today over an assignment I completed last week, and was given this warning. I have been here for about a month. The text shows that my violation was “Carelessness” and “Work Quality.” It reads: “Employee delivered marginal work self documented at 2.0 hours. Content embellishment was done by simply adding words to the end of titles, with little to no regard of value.Work examined, and should have taken less than 10 minutes based on what was done.Work thrown out, and done by Manager as the content was clearly not thought over, or examined for keyword opportunities.Further incidents of this quality will result in termination as employee is in evaluation period and exhibits other work habits that are slow or careless.” This is bullshit. I was supposed to embellish product keywords for our client. As far as I was aware at the time,…
“Did you answer the quiz correctly?”
Forces you to work when little was know of covid and community protection was at its lowest with no vaccines. Easily throws you away if you were hesitant about the vax being so new even though community protection was at its highest and for 2 years had no issues putting you out there when there was none at all.
Walmart sucks
When I first started at walmart i was working part-time but very soon after they started to give me full-time hours, which I was thinking of switching to anyway but they didn’t even talk to me about it, so I was like “oh well I guess” so I just assumed that they had switched me in the system to full-time but they forgot to do so and so I have not been getting any PTO and when I asked them if they were going to backdate my PTO that I should have been getting they told me no.
i got told off for drinking water.
last week at work i got told off for drinking water at work, since it required for me to leave my station. i basically told her (supervisor) “well i was drinking water” and she said “i need you to stay on floor” and i told her about my heart condition and she shrugged it off. i think i will walk out of the job if i get told off for drinking water again. i thought this job would be an upgrade from my old fast food job but it honestly isn’t.
