Looking for jeans that don't look like jeans to the naked eyes relatively up close for my husband. He's a hefty dude so it would be for larger short males. Any suggestions?

I cannot emphasize enough how important it is that people talk about salary. It's said a bunch in this subreddit and I want to toss my story into the pile. First, a little background: I work in construction in a support role. The company I worked for put a lot of effort into messaging that their people are their most important asset, and it seemed to be the case. Got a text today from my manager, firing me. I'm a chef at a restaurant. Work Thursday through Sunday, open to way past close. One of the only ones who does work every day. Our restaurant has been closed for renovations the last 3 months. I stayed with them even after another job opportunity. Two days ago I'm there cleaning equipment outside. Scrubbing off paint and plaster because the construction guys used my prep tables for their work. My owner gets in my face screaming at me for not doing what I'm told when I literally had a checklist that was done. My manager had told him I wasn't doing what was asked. Clearly that was a lie. Sorry for the poor english. I hope someone relates. I tried talking about this with some friends most of them were unsympathetic. Most of my friends have good careers or are working towards having one, personally I was never as talented as them and always had to struggle more in life due to poverty and other personal issues. They dont seem to understand that working a low wage hard labour job is awful and extremely mentally and physically taxing in the long term. It deteriorates you life in every way. I explained that I come from a poor family and most of us worked hard labour jobs and saw the consequences of that on our health. My dad got a serious injury from his work and a family member got a permanent medical illness from his job. We could rarely afford something nice because of the low wages . Low…

I thought this belonged here. I recently got a juice at a local place. When I was checking out I didn’t see an option to tip. So I asked if there was a tip option. She said yes, but it all goes to the owner anyway. WTF?!? So I started asking before tipping electronically and was very surprised that a lot of establishments the owner get all or a percentage of tips. Fuck that, I started carrying cash and tipping staff directly. I had no idea this was a thing.
