Don’t even THINK of leaving!
I hate work but love capital
Idk just trying to educate myself. I'm for lots of social polices, unions, universal health care, against excessive consumption, wage robbery etc.. But i love getting paid, and the opportunity to earn more actually gives me joy coming from an immigrant family. I'm from a country with lots of social polices australia, but we're far from socialist. I guess is socialism more than policies but deeper. For example what is the line for a capitalist, and socialist since i see myself a lot believing in a mixed econ, and the perception is so different from country to country. Furthermore i'm subtly always challenging my own ideologies, what would push me towards believing in socialism further and labeling myself as one, and why? Some readings attached would be nice thanks.
We can buy additional vacation days now.
Got back from vacation while receiving PTO and my company started messing with my hours and position as well as saying they were going to rework my contract since the manager that did my contract left the company. Seemed kind of shady so I decided to find another job. Did the 2 weeks notice thing yesterday because I wanted to be polite to my boss to give him time to replace my position (I'm the only 1 at my position) and I don't like burning bridges. Was a tough decision to leave because this was supposed to be my “dream job”. The whole thing seems really unprofessional. My question for all of you…. Am…
I typed this all up in the other topic and it got locked. I don't want it to go to waste so why not… Yes, our political system is terrible. It's rigged and gerrymandered. Voters are disenfranchised and suppressed. The two parties gatekeep access to debates and public campaign funds. The Senate and Electoral College ensure that a minority of the people can subjugate the majority of the people. First past the post prevents people from voting for who they truly believe in, keeps power for the two parties, and ensures the spoiler effect. But one of these parties has been undermining our constitutional rights far more than the other. One of these parties is happy for people to not vote and actively working to prevent laws to make voting more accessible and meaningful and implementing their own laws and policies to prevent voting. The amount of work the Republican…
Perhaps that’s part of the system of taking people’s voices and talents, and doing whatever they want to exploit. They then act like we should be grateful. For what?
As the title said.
I’m not interested in someone else’s opinion of what I should be doing, or who I should be, according to whatever arbitrary standards they created to have power over others.
