Using Sick Days
I work as a vet assistant at a very nice general practice. There are some people there who view people calling out as “weak” or “sensitive”. One of those people happened to say how I call out a lot….it was said in a disapproving and judgy tone. (This person has been there since summer '22, I've been there since spring '21.) If I do call out, it's once or twice a month bc I'm sick or my mental health is not okay (severe depression and anxiety). I finally got my head wrapped around using sick days without feeling bad, but that comment from her really messed with me. And now my period is fucking off the charts painful (incapacitated all weekend) and I might call out tomorrow. I'm worried my coworkers will hate me and judge me. But at the same time, I EARNED those days and can use them…
We have one of those things that ask the costumer to select a tip option and he is not giving us our tips. He says he needs to set up the system but he is yet to do so and keeps dodging when we ask him. Is this legal?
I just don’t understand.
I work for a major retailer and time to time I hop on our subreddit. It blows my mind the people who are answering questions on there for customers as if they are at work. You get no time edits for helping people pick products online. There are official channels for that and ya know. The store. Where you get paid to do exactly that. Am I wrong in thinking this? I understand that everyone’s situation is different and maybe you can’t make it to a store or one isn’t close, but again you have the entirety of Google to help you research products to help you go in with informed questions.
