Bill hicks was right
Time to get up, get dressed up, and get out into the world. I am excited to meet my new hall-mates, and hopefully have greater focus. Perhaps I'll even have the occasional after work-drinks – like the olden days! It's time for a change. It's time for a return to the office.— Michelle Tandler (@michelletandler) November 29, 2022
Orange juice in the dropper of a covid testkit WILL make you look covid positive. Do with this as you choose. https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20210705-how-children-are-spoofing-covid-19-tests-with-soft-drinks
Sweet Petty Revenge
I applied to a company where a friend worked only to find out they intentionally short staff and say they’re “hiring” so they get tax breaks and what not. No surprise they rejected me at every turn…Fast forward a few months later I’m now working for a great company and I rec. same friend to new company and he gets hired immediately… Ha ha get REKT…jerk me around and I’ll take your employees to greener grass…
I dunno how some folks can do it
Depressive rant below I got a degree in elementary education. Worked as a teacher for 2 years. It was brutal, and I worked many unpaid hours – and was expected to work them. Honestly, it's fine because it was for the kids, but I realized that field wasn't for me. Didn't really pay shit for the effort and the value to society I felt I was contributing, but it's fine – not worth it if it wasn't a good fit. Not moral. So I moved to early childhood. I took a PreK position that's about 5 hours a day. It's $16 an hour. Much better fit for me. But the pay is even worse. Well, rent is almost $900 (with a roommate, so this is split – and very cheap for the location) and I'm about to get dropped from my folks insurance from age. So car insurance for me…
$16/hour receptionist position
So I'm interviewing for jobs in clerical/medical front desk type jobs, most things I'm seeing are $16-18/hour…thats just not enough for the position. Tacobell workers make around $16…so yeah. Idk how to ask employers at interviews to negotiate higher pay. Fyi, I have over 4 years of experience in clerical/medical front desk positions. Help! Thanks in advance! 🙂

It seems to me like employers are really trying to turn the screws and discipline their employees through monitoring and punishment, as if their response to employees having more leverage with the better job market now isn't to try to provide a better work environment, but instead is to coerce employees back into a slave-like mindset.
