It took me way too long to realize that “quiet quitting” is just corporate speak for “doing your fucking job”. It's pretty disgusting that rich people are getting absolutely PISSED off that there is a trend of people “quiet quitting” and doing their jobs and nothing more. The fact that corporate America has demonized doing your job, leaving on time, taking breaks, and having a work life balance by calling it quitting is gross. Like really fucking gross. People are supposed to be worked to death for their paychecks and shitty leaders will take nothing less. The new generations aren't taking the bullshit of corporate America and its fabulous.

I don’t even get time to heal
TW: SA I’ve been at my workplace since we opened last June. In that time period at work I’ve experienced having a stalker and being SA’d by a former manager of the same gender. I’ve currently got tendinitis in my hip. Using a wheelchair for most of the time (school, the store, etc.) I wasn’t hurting too bad after school today. I had to take my best friend/coworker to work. This is where I make a massive mistake, We get there with time to spare, so we head in and I decide to grab a burger. One of my managers comes up and goes “what’re you doing back?” I just kinda dodged the question because I just want my burger, not a interrogation with a side of a…
preparing myself for termination
Hurt myself at work a few weeks ago and was told to file workers comp . I've seen a doctor and he said I can go back to work next week and he wrote me a letter excusing me from work . I never filed the workers compensation form out because I was brought up being told workman's compensation is for people who can't go back to work and I know my injury isn't going to keep me out very long. So fast forward and I got a text telling me to call the office asap and now I'm worried I'm going to be fired by phone for taking off so long and not having enough paid time off . Can I be fired for not doing workers compensation ? I don't know where else to ask .
I got a call on Microsoft teams today from my manager and their boss. We just had our annual review a couple weeks ago. I submitted the things that I have accomplished and the things that I need to work on. They started the call by saying that there were some concerning comments in my review. I asked them to clarify, and they said that I wrote “I’m a full-time student so keeping an organized and concise calendar will help me manage my day better”. My manager proceeds to say that HR read that comment and have now made the assumption that I am completing school work or attending classes during the day when I’m supposed to be working. I’m not sure how they are jumping to this conclusion. I do understand that my numbers have been inconsistent over the past year, but it’s not because of school. If anything,…
