I remember when I had to use the bathroom a couple of times during my shift, my manager told me to “drink less water.”

Update 2: Your KPIs increased too much? We’re going to accuse you of a cybercrime.

So it's been a couple of months and I've been doing well at work. I haven't been singled out for special projects anymore and I'm happy about that. I haven't seen mean supervisor around much, he's been in other departments. The biggest news is, I got the promotion!! I'm so happy to be working with supervisors I get along with very well and I can't wait to start in my new position!! Thanks to everyone who commented on my posts and I just wanted to let you all know how things worked out. I'm looking forward to working in a position that will challenge me and help me learn new skills.

Corporations are greedy af! Got my raise today but don’t spend it all at once!

Did a performance review at my job today and was told after my hard work I was eligible for a raise. A. Pathetically. Small. 18 cent. Raise. This company makes millions month after month and they couldn’t even go for one quarter? And boomers wonder why we don’t wanna work or can’t afford anything. Such bull shit.

“Being ready to work”

I started a new job and I'm on day 2. I was written up for time theft on my second shift because I clocked in, then put my lunch bag / jacket in the break room. It was explained that clocking in means you're “ready to work” and if your clocking in before then, you're breaking the law. Yes I was on time. At my last job this was never an issue. My manager said if you're required to be here you're required to be paid, I don't care what you do as long as you're here. He preferred we clocked in before squaring yourself away because you're still at work, so get paid. So do I have any legal backing to fight this write up? Is this rule enough to care about? I'm definitely looking at going back to my old workplace because the new job sucks for more…

Lost our Bi-Annual bonuses -_-

We have concessions at work and we usually split the money made from it every 6 months between the crew and the office. We also use the recycled metal from the parts that are unusable and put that towards the fund. Usually this split is about $100 to $150 on average which is decent and nice on a holiday. I was told that one of the people from the shop got injured stripping metal off and was going over with our corporate office about what happened and he mentioned that we recycle the metal. They asked what for and he said for our bonuses every 6 months. Apparently corporate didn’t like this at all. They gave my manager an ultimatum. We have a bunch of balls in a jar with our names on them and they’ll pick out a couple of balls and whoever is picked gets a gift card(not…

Self-awareness among toxic managers

Toxicity in managers can manifest in various ways, and the level of self-awareness can vary from one individual to another. While it is possible for some toxic managers to be aware of their behaviors and the negative impact they have on their team, others may be ignorant of the harm they are causing or may not fully realize the extent of their actions. Some toxic managers may exhibit certain traits or behaviors due to a lack of emotional intelligence, poor leadership skills, or personal insecurities. They may not recognize the impact of their actions on team morale, productivity, and overall well-being. In some cases, toxic behavior can stem from a power imbalance or an unhealthy work environment. It is important to note that generalizing all toxic managers as completely ignorant may not be accurate. Toxic behavior can be complex, and individual circumstances and motivations can vary. Some managers may exhibit…

Any need to disclose that I’m only seeking a temporary job?

Title. I graduate in December, would like to work the last couple of months to save up a bit before transitioning into a degree-relevant field (hopefully). Is there any need to disclose that I'm only planning to be there for a couple months before seeking a different job?
