Girlfriend(F19) is being denied a class bonus because of “attendance points.”

Hello all, i’m looking for some help or some kind of advice for a situation my girlfriend is in at the moment. She currently works for a corporate run chain of day-care centers, in these centers bonuses are set up by how each class (2-3 teachers each) does every quarter on a 0-100 grading scale which then determines her bonus. So now on to the situation, earlier this quarter my girlfriend had to take a few days off of work because she contracted HFMD(hand, foot, and mouth disease) from an outbreak that has recently been happening. when she originally told her supervisor about the blisters on her hands (while it was known that there was an outbreak) she tried to get her to not get checked out for it at the doctors office, as most of the teachers don’t and just continue to work while sick and contagious. now i’m not sure…

Need help with pay asap

Last week I sprained my ankle. Because of my ankle I’m on slightly limited work, I can do most things, but I can’t carry anything heavy and walk. So I’m mainly doing most of my work standing in one section and I’m still doing prep and register/expo, and helping do cleaning and anything I can that doesn’t put too much strain on my ankle. My boss have decided since I’m injured, they are going to stop paying me cooks pay and only pay me for working registers which is 50% of the tip pool I would normally get. Advice and opinions on this situation please.

Mental Health is Depleting

My father died in April. I have been struggling as it was very traumatic for me. I am on reduced work hours so I work 4 days instead of 5 to prevent emotional burnout. Thing is, I am trying to follow advice of my therapist and do things like set boundaries to preserve myself but there are no boundaries. I feel I have fallen into an unhealthy dynamic with my manager. Her daughter passed away a few years ago and would have been around my age. I feel she has a bit of an unhealthy attachment to the people at our work and uses us as if we are an audience to the constant show that is her life. I cannot get any work done and am never allowed to focus on what I'm doing. My job is to pay constant attention to her as she narrates every single thing…

What’s the point of OT if I get fucked on taxes with no lube

To keep a long story short I have a fresh new medical bill for a new doctor to write a prescription for a medicine I already take that I ran out of but can't get refilled because I guess my doctor and his whole staff went on vacation for the last month and next two. So Ive been busting my ass for the last week. I worked 5.7 12 hour shifts in a row including the 4th which was double time (technically 9ish since there were 3 shifts before it on the last check). Taxes taken out for that period was $555.12 leaving me with about $1200. The week before that I worked 48 hours and the 292.55 leaving me with $895. A $327 difference for working 20.5 extra hours (10 of which were double) effectively at $15.9 an hour (327/20.5). When I work 48 hours a week I am…

Frustrations over salary and added responsibilities

My partner and I have recently qualified as architects in the UK, it's taken us nearly 10 years (6 years university (1 year whilst working), nearly 5 years working in practice). We know architects in this country are massively underpaid in general, but our recent salary increase has been a slap in the face. We both work in the same company but in different teams, he will be getting £28,500 and I will be getting £29,000, due to increase to £29,500 and £30,500 in January if we meet our 'goals'. He gets a lower salary because he's not confident in driving our big car to sites (not part of our contract to drive). A new architect 2 years ago got £30k plus her tuition paid for, and she still ultimately left for a 33% pay increase. It honestly feels like they've treated us like one person as they've given us…
