Was just let go from my company while I was actively searching for other jobs. What should I expect that my former employer would inform to my potential hiring employers about my termination and other details? I've never been let go before so I am still processing this at the moment, but I am trying to jump ahead of it as I was in the process of building a house that will be completed in October and currently under contract for, and finding new employment fast is my main goal right now.

First time posting on this sub. But I frequently enjoy reading the posts here. Now here’s my personal antiwork story that happened just this morning 😀 Essentially, I showed up for a job interview that I knew I was under qualified for, but I expressed over the phone that I am very committed to learning the ropes. We schedule an in person interview. Interview day, I show up 10 minutes early. She walks out to the waiting area, acknowledges that I need to wear a mask, but she doesn’t even greet me! Also, a mask? Post COVID? Fuck off. She had asked me over the phone to bring a physical copy of my resume. I complied. But when I’m there, she has me fill out an application that literally answers all of her questions if she would only take a second to read my resume! I ask one of the…
I’m being offered the bottom position but feel like the math isn’t right ? I work 40 hours more but get 300 extra ? Help
So, to start, we are moving buildings. I work in our “warehouse” as a analyst. However, every time I am introduced to someone new/vendors/clients outside of the company, my coworkers and boss refer to me as a manager. I have been raising hell that I am not a manager. Give me the pay. Give me the title. We'll take later. That aside, no one has asked our department about our shipping needs or requirements. We are in this cozy office space and constantly tripping over pallets. My coworkers do not have a safe working space. So, I was excited at the prospect of moving to a larger location with a different floor design. In today's meeting, I found out the floor is going to be slick and there are expectations of stacking pallets. (This means we need to upgrade our equipment, motorize our jack, and consider the climate; if we…
This is the most buggy shit ever. Simple formatting all texts it cannot do. You select all and it won’t change font for all or size. How is it that every corporate shit company wants to use this trash? MICROSOFT SUCK YOUR OWN ASS BITCH
I (24 F) started texting this lady (65 F) over a book club that we met in and she told me that she had a job offer. She gave me a bunch of tasks to do and never paid me. She then got annoyed that I wouldn't do the tasks anymore as “nothing works in these days without money”. Then she told me I kinda had to be an assistant to her when she started her creative writing workshop and I have been managing a joint sm account with her where I do all the work and I'm the face of. The account blew up and I started getting job offers to teach English by people near me and ad money. I took it as she wasn't doing any of it it's mine. Then she gets mad at me for bailing on her when she has been dangling this job…
So I work food service part time, and my boss is upset with me over a couple little things, which are all things that my manager told me to do. Things like sweeping the floors “too early”, taking out the trash “too early”. I've been employed here for over a year, but I'm a college student and this is my job back home, so I've been gone for a couple of moths at school. Management is super hands off and horrible with communication. This instance of them being upset with me is the first I've heard from them since I've been back (for two months). On top of the little things, they watched back hours of security camera footage and are upset that I “didn't smile enough”. They were upset with my manager over the same thing. They suspended her this morning, and I go in tomorrow to get yelled…
