Coworker came to me saying they aren’t allowed to take lunches and more.

So for some context I work in retail. We had a few people the other day come to help my department set things up for back to school. One of the people helping us usually works in the online orders department. They're helping me out, put things on shelves and they asks me ” so how do brakes work over here?” I thought it was obvious we take our lunch and two 15 minute breaks for an 8 hour shift. I told them that we take all our breaks over here whenever we need to take our breaks. That question in itself concerned me so I asked them ” How do breaks work over in your department?” They proceed to tell me that in their department they usually don't take breaks and if they do they take one 15 minute break. Lunch “stolen” at work

So ever since return to office last year I have been bringing in lunch to work to save money and eat healthier than pre-covid. One of my issues before for not bringing food is some days I would forget to take it in the morning. I’m inclined to to believe someone took it accidentally but it bothers me that I don’t know if it was an accident or intentional. I thought may be the cleaners threw it out but there was…

Because we can’t hire an additional person, I’m being asked to choose who to fire, so we can hire someone instead.

So we need a person who can do sales and has experience in that. But we can't hire a new person, because of the budget limits and etc. So I was asked by my manager to choose one of the existing workers, that are doing some other job in a different department – to fire em, in order to hire a new person. Not sure how to act or react

Ask questions before you mess something up for the next person.

Somebody on the weekend shift messed up by blindly scanning something in instead of reading the label for how to process it and asking a question so now us on the weekday shift have to take extra time to do our job. Please please please ask questions if you're unsure so you don't end up fucking your fellow coworkers down the line.
