Boomer here. It's true people are worse off now than in the 50s and 60s. This needs to change. You younger generations need to create this change. If you don't, who will?

When I signed and read my employment contract, they stated that we would get paid $10 for having to use our phones to clock in and be tracked through the clock in app, (it doesn't state anything about that on the paystub). But now I'm being told that I have to create a WhatsApp and join the group. I don't remember them stating anything like that, and I'm really trying to limit who I have contact with.

Im sorry to rant but I find it discouraging as all hell that I work at a hospital (as a sitter) and got paid only $13 for doing stuff outside of my scope. I’d watch up to 5 psych patients at once, always at risk of getting assaulted in all ways, tech upstairs for other units and even was tried to be pushed off to secretary work when they didn’t have one. Using Google Translate I was fired because I was caught stealing at work, dozens of colleagues who were dissatisfied with the salary and working conditions defended me and gave the boss an ultimatum not to fire me, but the boss threatened to replace us with a new batch of workers.
