Hello everyone, Can you help me find a good excuse to not attend a seminar dinner that is scheduled to finish at 1 am? I need a reason that cannot be questioned. I don't want to spend time with my shitty boss and coworkers who have been annoying me lately + i live far away.

Tax Cuts are some of the most popular welfare programs out there. It helps that unlike other welfare programs, these measures don't get periodically maligned by think tanks and the like. But as noble as tax payers funding the rich sounds. I think we can all agree that means testing are always necessary for some reason. We don't want the wrong types to be getting a benefit. According to theorists, the intention of Tax Cuts is that we want the economics to 'trickle down' so how about we add means testing to make it trickle faster? First we must make sure that the recipient of a tax cut actually needs it. We could measure the number of people actually being employed by a rich person and if require that this number is high enough before giving the tax break. Long story short, Our new boss left a high quality, high paying job for a new position at our corporation. He had been in his position a long time and did good work. First week in, he was complaining that employees aren't loyal anymore. He just didn't get it. They leave on a moments notice for more pay, benefits, anything really. Two months later our company laid him off with no notice, after just two months, and outsourced all of our jobs to a cheaper third party. He now understands why no one is loyal anymore. He's lost his job, his career, and the has nothing to show for his hard work, just like the rest of us. I feel bad for him, but it's just the new normal. He gets it now. Loyalty is earned and no one is earning it these days.

Long time listener first time caller. I want to preface with, my job is 90% great boss is pretty laid back, schedule is usually good, and more importantly the pay is nearly double what I used to make. I work as a parts salesman for a dealership (previous job assistant store manager at an Autozone) my pay is entirely commission, based on the gross profit of the entire department which works out pretty well to around 55k. But my annoyance is more to do with holidays, we’re open Monday-Saturday but we each get one day off other than Sunday, but for some reason when a holiday (like the 4th) comes up and our department is closed I have to work Saturday as though I had taken Tuesday for a personal day. With the recent explosion of anti WFH media I can understand the frustration from you all. Working from home sounds amazing but as an outsider looking in to the U.S. you're blue collar work force has insanely cruddy conditions in large areas, in jobs that are fundamental to building/sustaining your country might I remind you. Might I suggest helping rally to better their conditions first before being angry you have to go back to an Ac controlled basicly hazardless environment ?

so there is a lady whose over a fleet of cars we deal with… this account business is really important to our sales… we have phones at the location and one other manager outside myself but this account manager has the locations phone number and everyone else on the front end… yet she seems to call my cell phone over and over even on my off days… ​ this morning she text me saying (and im off ) “hey it seems impossible to get you via phone is that something we can work on i was under the impression you are my direct line of contact for our needs” ​ but why not call the store which is always open if you dont get me? why not call the other managers? why call over and over again? and she asks the same thing over and over and doesnt even keep…
