Just like the title says. I have frequented this sub since I was about 16, and haven’t looked back. Because of this I’ve hopped from job to job where I felt my time was valued, respected, and that’s all thanks to this community! 🙂
That being said, with the economy the way that it is, and recent firings giving me a promotion… I can’t afford to reject the job offer for the management position. I’m still in training, so I’ve got a bit to go before I officially start – just need some advice.
How do I operate in a way that satisfies the needs of my company so I can keep my job, while also giving the people working with me a sense of security and respect?
It’s corporate retail, so I know it’s bound to be hell. Trust me, I was literally just there. There’s no escaping the shitty system. But there has to be a way I can make it better, right?
Thanks for the hopeful tips!
