3 Years Too Long

I've been an employee and this universities merchandise store for the last three years, and they immediately let me go the moment the caught wind I was looking for a new job. The first year was a nightmare, with a terrible boss and terrible pay. But soon we had a whole new boss, who was very nice at the time, and a 50 cent pay increase. This also followed a complete store remodel and restructuring. This made me wanna stick around a bit longer, figured with this new boss and my experience with both work structures, I would be in the running for a full-time position or slight pay increase (this is still one of the lowest paying jobs on campus) Year goes by, and that didn't happen.

This made me wanna stick around a bit longer, figured with this new boss and my experience with both work structures, I would be in the running for a full-time position or slight pay increase (this is still one of the lowest paying jobs on campus)

Year goes by, and that didn't happen. I'm sure there's a reason why, but it was never told to me. ALL that was said, when I asked, was 'we still need to see more commitment'. I still ended up sticking around for a bit, but my motivation to try harder, or do work I wasn't asked to do, completely disappeared. I committed my ass off to that store for a whole year, and if that didn't matter, why care?

Then this year came, and suddenly I was expected to do 2x more work with still no pay increase in sight, and suddenly I started hating work more-and-more.

Then came last week where I had a particularly bad day at work. It was one of those days where your so upset, you might even mention looking for another job, and somehow my manager caught word of this mention, not from me.

I get called into her office, where she immediately confirms I'm looking for another job, and then removes all my shifts 2 weeks from now. Basically put in my 2 weeks for me, and I haven't even began a job search. Let alone the fact that she heard this from a rumor that didn't even come from me. I was planning on eventually putting in my 2 weeks, but not until I had everything figured out. One person mentioning it was all it took for me to lose my job and rush the process 10×.

I know this must violate something, but in all honesty, that was the straw that broke my back and I'm done trying to deal with the place. They made me feel like my last 3 years of work was all for nothing, they didnt care about me, and they just wanted to get me out.

I just am hoping that I might be able to find something in time, or I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

TL/DR: Boss finds out I'm looking for a new job, from someone besides me, and put in my 2 weeks for me. While I haven't even applied for anything yet.
