Thought I would ask the experts. The company that I work for recently went to a new time system. The new system automatically deducts 30 minutes of pay for lunch if you work over 4 hours. It's not a traditional office job where everyone takes a break at a set time. Its a field service job where the repairs and workload sometimes cause us to not take a lunch break. Us in field service don't mind skipping lunch because it helps us get home on time. It's easy enough to game the system to account for this but is it legal to deduct time automatically? Location is in Missouri.
