I was scheduled to work 3-8 pm for a 5 hour shift. I got a call from my boss this morning saying they needed me in ASAP (I should've said no, but alas) and ending up at work at 9 am.
Turns out they needed me to fill in for a different position that I was not hired for for 7 hours. This was not discussed in the morning call with my boss. All of this for subpar wage.
I am scheduled off tomorrow and I was told “you're on deck for tomorrow if we need somebody” so I will be putting my phone in airplane mode tonight. Fuck this shit.
