Antiwork

5 hours, 4 days a week

20 hour work weeks, 5 hours, 4 days a week- this is a reasonable amount of work that still gives people enough time to enjoy their lives and pursue hobbies and spend time with their families and friends and themselves. If you could get paid what you get for 40 hours but only have to work 20 hours, wouldn't you do it? What if it was 75% of of full time pay, but you also got guaranteed Healthcare and affordable housing. This would also open up many more jobs so we could bring in more immigrants who already want to come here and build more affordable housing. We would all get to enjoy life more and still all the work would get done without consuming all of our time.. Just need the billionaires and corporations to share some of their profits and time back with us from all the gains…

Just need the billionaires and corporations to share some of their profits and time back with us from all the gains we've made in efficiency over the years.

Of course they will never do this willingly, but is this not the type of world we would all rather live in?

Why are we still stuck in a work life balance that is outdated and returning us to way of life that is barely even human..

I know this is wishful thinking, but is there any obvious reason we couldn't have a society where this was the new standard work week and way of life?
