8 hour work days aren’t enough slaves

Currently salary position barely scraping by and they treat us like we should be giving out ALL to the company. Managers and admin have now accused us salary employees with taking our salary for granted because we are leaving at the time our hours say we are up. It looks like we don’t want to be here and it isn’t very cool. So giving 8 hour workdays isn’t enough now. Same admin has intentionally kept us from taking our 1 hour lunch breaks even though our handbook says it’s supposed to happen. They say “we arent doing lunch today” as casually as possible. They reference having loads of work to do when not giving lunches, BUT I am BORED. I have constantly asked for more work. They want CONTROL. That’s all they care about. We are required to be at a weeklong training that requires overnight stays away from home…

We are required to be at a weeklong training that requires overnight stays away from home and hours away. None of this was mentioned in the job position before being hired and if I had known I would have turned the job down.

My contract says 8 hour days. They change hours, required days, and dates on a whim and assume we should be cool with it all.

THIS IS THE REASON WHY YOU CANT KEEP EMPLOYEES!

How can people in upper management assume we want to be here all day long? I have a life outside of here. Maybe a second job. Kids. A partner who’s dying, etc. You just never know. That’s the whole purpose of working hours and contract hours.
