I pocket any cash payments for snacks in my hotel’s gift shop and I almost positive they don’t know I’m doing it.
We got rid of our cash register for the gift shop so now the front desk makes cash transactions through our bank boxes. Without a receipt as proof no one can prove cash purchases were made by guest. Anytime my box is over the allotted amount I pocket it as “tips”
We do have cameras so there is a looming fear of possibly being caught but footage is never scrubbed through unless some sort of major incident occurs.
