Manager sentenced to 2 years and 4 months in prison for ‘humiliating employee’

Some good news at last from my little corner of the world. In an article published today (in Spanish), it was reported that a manager at the University Hospital of Asturias (HUCA) in Spain has been sentenced to 2 years and 4 months in prison for humiliating an employee and treating her 'like a plague victim'. The manager was sentenced to 1 year and 4 months in prison for crimes against moral integrity and a further year for causing psychological damage to the employee. The manager was also ordered to pay 9000 euros in compensation to the employee. In the ruling, the manager was found to demonstrate a “constant lack of respect, contempt, control, and authoritarianism” towards the employee. I only think that if more of these absolute scumbags were sent away to rot for their crimes, then maybe I wouldn't hate going to work so much.
