I haven't looked too much into the firstbeat one, so I'll focus on the ring.
This is horrifying anyways, but one part stood out to me. Pregnancies and abortions. There have been a couple posts already alerting people with uterus' to use trusted cycle tracking apps, as they may be able to determine if someone has had an abortion. Now with the ring's ability to measure sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, blood oxygen levels, and body temperature, it should come as no surprise it can automatically detect your cycle. This isn't information your employer should have any right to, especially given how dangerous it can be.
Companies would be able to see how well you've been sleeping, or how much stress you're under. How sick you are, or how active you've been.
Lets uhh, not do this?
