What do you think the future trajectory of on-site jobs is? (Lab jobs, scientists, engineers, production jobs, retail etc)

Do you think on site jobs will be given higher pay and possibly 4 day working week vs desk jobs in the future to increase demand? They are becoming harder to replace and we are seeing that there is a lot of skill that needs to be had to work in these environments. My old companies production facilities couldn’t keep people for more than a year and all the production lines were mistake after mistake.
