Got stuck with a closing shift, which ends at 8:30pm. Live half an hour away, which gets me home at 9pm. Needed to go grocery shopping so I could have something for dinner, which is another 10 minutes of driving. Get to the store, buy my groceries, head back. I'm home at 10pm. Had to get started on laundry and then made dinner. Finally got to eat at 10:30pm. Finished up now, its almost 11pm. Still waiting on my laundry to finish the wash cycle. Then I'll have to wait for the hot water to heat up so I can shower and head to bed, probably around midnight. I have to get up for the early shift in a few hours.
Don't want to say I'm idolizing a traditional 9-5 job but…..it sure would be nice to eat dinner with my family.
