Hello everybody. I was having a conversation with one of coworkers, he's an older guy, about my thoughts on the current system. I was explaining to him how billionaires row in New York city is a complete scam for the whole city. I explained that people should not be using housing as an investment instead of actually living there. He very much disagreed saying that people should be able to do whatever they want with their money. He saw no issue with having giant skyscrapers with 25% occupancy on a good day.
He also said that trickle down economics works, which obviously it's not, and that it's been proven to work by economists. Well if it's working then where's my money, I'm as low on the totem pole as I can get and I don't see any money. Well I do, but only for like 2 days after payday then it's gone.
It's people like him that are keeping this country from progressing. There should definitely be a cap on the amount of money a single person can have, idc about companies as long as any spending decisions of company funds are approved by a group of people and only on company projects that benefit everyone equally. He also said I was greedy for wanting money that I don't have. It's not greed it's called wanting to have the life that they told stories about in school.
Sorry for the rant he just ticked me off because he basically sees no issues with how things are going. Saying “When you're older you'll see how the world works”. Oh I can see how the world works alright, it fucking doesn't.
