If I’m looking for a job and k already quit my last one let’s say two weeks ago I don’t put an end date. It’ll still say currently working .
So they can’t ask if they can call my previous employer cuz I’m “technically still there and don’t want them knowing that I’m shopping around”
It’s so much better than the option of having call .. they can call your references coworkers you worked with that you’ll know have your back ..
But I’ve never had a new boss call and old one , they usually see my resume and act quick on hiring me it’s almost as if not quitting helps your chances on finding better employment. Also I’ve never been fired always left for greener pastures cuz everyone disappoints me at some point
